Casey Container Corp - CSEY
A development stage company planning to manufacture biodegradable plastics.
What if we could make plastic DISAPPEAR IN YEARS, instead of centuries? WE CAN.
Founded in 2010 out of Scottsdale, Arizona, Casey Container is a public company emerging into the bottling and packaging landscape that blends breakthrough biodegradability technology with traditional plastics manufacturing to deliver an environmentally responsible product. The company’s goal is to greatly reduce the overwhelming build-up of plastic bottles in landfills and other areas of our planet that are endangering our fragile ecosystems.
Through a strategic alliance with the manufacturer of the proprietary additive EcoPure®, Casey Container will be manufacturing PET plastic preforms that become 100% biodegradable plastic bottles and containers when deposited into a landfill.
Its products will feature all the benefits of traditional PET plastic resin combined with the ability to biodegrade in 2-10 years (depending on the landfill environment). The product is also fully recyclable in the standard PET recycling stream with no modifications to traditional recycling facilities and equipment. Unlike other plastics that claim to be biodegradable, like oxo-degradables, PLA and other bioplastics, Casey Container products will be able to be mixed with other recyclable products without extra sorting.
Bottling companies and manufacturers can have custom bottles or containers designed and manufactured, or purchase preforms that require no modifications to existing blow molding equipment.
Casey Container is currently seeking funding to build manufacturing facilities in Florida and Arizona. Preforms and fully blown plastic bottles and containers are anticipated to be available in October 2012. PET plastic will be available initially, with the company planning to rapidly expand into other thermoplastics such as HDPE (high-density polyethylene).
